1. As a point of departure, you need to LOG IN to your THEME FOREST ACCOUNT and go to your “DOWNLOADS” page.
2. Once you purchase a theme from the Chimp Studio’s PORTAL on Theme Forest, locate the purchased theme in your “Downloads” list and click on the download link. Once you click Downloads, there will be a drop down. Select All Files & Documentation
3. Once the download
is complete, extract the archive. The theme Zip File will be
inside the main folder. upload this theme Zip and activate by using any
of these method.
Here are Three methods for uploading theme in WordPress;
1. Uploading through WordPress admin panel. 2. Upload through FTP. 3. Upload through Hosting control panel.
1. Uploading through WordPress admin panel
1.1 From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Appearance > Themes menu.
1.2 Click the “Install Themes” button and then click Upload button.
1.3. Browse the theme file on your
computer, if you cannot locate the downloaded and extracted file, type
the name of your desired theme in the computer’s search input field and
click “Search” button.
1.4. It will display all found results. Now select the file in Upload Browse area, Click the “Install Now” button.
1.5. WordPress will display the status of the installation. Once it is done, click the “Activate link” on the page that appears after completion of installation to set the newly installed theme as your site theme.
Notice: You can upload .zip files in this method of theme
installation. No other format is accepted there, and, result will be
error in installation.
2. Upload through FTP.
To upload theme through this method, you need to have one of the FTP software like cuteFTP or FileZila etc.
2.1. Open an FTP client (FileZilla) and enable the FTP
connection to your hosting account by typing in the name of your host
(examplehost.com), username and password.
2.2. Download to computer’s hard disk the zip archive with the Chimp Studiotheme, unzip it.
2.3. In FileZilla navigate to the theme folder. In the right side of the FTP client, Go to the directory where WP files are located. Find the wp-content — > themes folder.
2.4. Drag and drop the theme folder into the wp-content — > themes folder.
2.5. Returned to WP site> the admin area, and find the recently installed theme and activate it.
3. Upload through hosting cPanel.
CPanel is a web hosting account management tool. You only get one username per CPanel.
Notice: You can upload .zip files in this method of theme
installation. No other format is accepted there, and, result will be
error in installation.
3.1. Type your CPanel link in your browser, log in by providing your CPanel username and password.
3.2. In CPanel, Go to the File Manager under the “Files” section. Expand the folders public_html — > site root folder — > wp-content — > themes.
3.3. Find the icon “Upload” in the File Manager and upload the theme to the themes directory.
3.4. Click on the “Extract” button to unzip the theme archive.
3.5. Return to the admin area of your WordPress site and find the recently installed theme there. Click on it to activate it.
Notice: Theme uploading through FTP may take sometime. Wait until it finishes completely.
Attention! WordPress installation is primarily your concern. If you encounter any problem on it, go to www.wordpress.org.

2. Import Dummy Data
We do not provide images with the package as per images
copy right regulations. All images that come with the theme are dummy
images only.
To make your website just like our demo website, it requires to
import dummy data. To import dummy data, you can follow any of these
steps.
1. One-Click Dummy Data Import
Chimp Studio theme is flexible enough to make you love it from the first steps!
With our “One click install” feature, you can setup this theme with the same look as on
demo in just a single click after admin login.
To import Dummy Data automatically, please log in to your admin panel and follow the following path;
Go to Appearance > Import Demo Data
* Images from preview are not included in demo data. Dummy images
will show instead of demo images BUT design element structure will
remain as demo.
2. Manually Importing Dummy Data
Go to wordpress admin panel and Move the pointer of mouse to the “Tools” button, click it once, it will open options, move to “Import” button and click it. Following picture that explains the procedure;
As the next window pops-up, select “WordPress” for import. See the following image for the further guidance.
There may be a need to install plugin to make it work at its best, If
plugin is not installed already. This is as easy as nothing has been so
far, install this plugin by just Clicking “Install Now”.
Activate the plugin and run the importer:
Moving ahead, now choose the sample content file and upload it. Remember; do not select a .zip or unzipped folder. The demo content is always a file with .xml extension, for example sample-content.xml.
On the next screen, check the box saying “Download and import file attachments”. This is it. Click “Submit”
and get a coffee. The process of installing the sample content involves
downloading images and other files from the installation source, which
are often the theme preview installations of the theme provider. Do
not interrupt the process.
Attention! Uploading Dummy Data is time taking process. Do not open any other section of your website. It may hinder the process.

Attention! As you upload theme, it activates few
items forcibly. If you do not want to import dummy data, delete or
deactivate these items by going into Widget area for Widgets and in the Theme Options > General Settings for all others. Following items are activated along with theme. 1. Widgets. 2. Home page slider settings. 3. Home page partner settings. 4. Header/Footer settings.
3. WooCommerce Dummy Data
Locating the WooCommerce Dummy Data
The dummy data for WooCommerce is located in a file called
dummy_data.xml which is located in the WooCommerce plugin directory.
Once WooCommerce is installed go to ‘wp-content/plugins/woocommerce’ and
locate the dummy_data.xml file.
Installing the WooCommerce Dummy Data
From the WordPress admin area go to Tools -> Import and click on the WordPress link.
WordPress Importer
If you do not have the WordPress importer installed you will be prompted to install the importer, install it and proceed.
Click on the “choose a file from you computer” button and select the
dummy_data.xml file you located in the “Locating the WooCommerce Dummy
Data” section above.
Click the Upload file and import button.
You will be presented with a screen to either import or select an
author and various other options like to download and import file
attachments. Select the author you want to make the author of the new
products from the dropdown, your admin user will do, and check the
download and import file attachments checkbox. The latter will download
all the images to your local server for use on the products.
Click Submit and your dummy data will now be installed, and you now have a working copy of WooCommerce with data loaded.
4. Plugins installation
AfterWordPressinstallation you need to activate some plugins which is given with theme to work property and its really important to install them before importing dummy data, we Used TGM Class to help you in plugin installation, TGM Plugin Activation is
a PHP library that allows you to easily require or recommend plugins
for your WordPress themes (and plugins). It allows your users to install
and even automatically activate plugins in singular or bulk fashion
using native WordPress classes

5. Uploading your logo/Fav icon
Logo/ Fav Icon Settings.
This option allows to upload and handle logos and fav icons. Image
given below guides best how to do it. It mentions following areas;
Go to Appearance > General Settings > Logo/FAV Icon to select or edit settings for the following customization.
1. Browse and Upload a logo for your website. 2. Set height & width of your logo. 3. Upload FAV Icon for your site.

7. Menu Settings
If you have imported dummy data, you can set location of Menu through this way;
1. Go to Appearance
2. Select Menu from Drop Down
3. Click Manage Locations
4. Select Main Menu
All Done!
If dummy data was not imported, follow the method given under title “Menu Creation” to create Menu.
Menu Creation:
Chimp Studio theme works like Word Press default themes and does not
load any of its menu by default. Menu need to be created once the dummy
data is imported. After theme activation, follow the procedure described
below and shown in the image below to create new menu;
Go to Appearance
Click on the Menu under appearance section
Put the name of Menu, whatever you like
Create Menu, it’s done
Note:
To add pages in menu, drag them from left panel shown in image
b. Main Menu Selection
To select main menu which is desired to show up on main page, follow the following instruction and screen shot;
Go to Appearance > Menu
Go to Manage Location
Select menu from Drop Down
Save Changes, it’s done.
9. Change Author Avatar?
The theme uses Gravatar to display users avatars . To create or change your Gravatar, please follow the following steps;
If you have never set-up a Gravatar account:
Register / login to Gravatar. Upon registering, use the SAME email address that is associated with your WordPress User Profile.
Upload your photo and associate it with that specific email address.
If you already registered at gravatar.com, follow these steps:
Click on “My Gravatars” .
click on “Add a New Email” .
Then, you’ll need to click on “Add a New Image” .
Upload an image .
Then select the email address, and then select your image from bottom. Now it’s associated with that email address. Click Save .
It will take about 5-10 minutes to propagate on the internet, and then will appear on site.
10. Translate with .PO edit
All of our Themes are able to be
translated into any language. The process of translating the theme is a
user responsibility. The following instructions are given as guidance.
Open
wp-config.php and replace this: define (‘WPLANG’, ”); with this
(subsitute the language string (bg_BG) with your own!): define
(‘WPLANG’, ‘bg_BG’);
Download and install POEDIT
Connect to your site -> open your theme/languages directory
Download the default.po file and open it with POEDIT.
Translate file and save it as bg_BG (the file name must match with the string you inserted into wp-config.php)
Two files will be generated after save. bg_BG.po and bg_BG.mo
Upload the .mo and .po files into wp-content/themes/your-theme/languages folder
11. Boxed / Wide layouts
Chimp Studio themes comes with options of two layouts, Wide &
Boxed. Theme is set to wide layout by default. If you wish to keep your
site in boxed layout, just Go to Appearance > General Settings >
Colour & Styles > Select Boxed view from layout options and its
done!
Background settings in boxed layout Boxed view further offers following customization which include;
Set Background Image from default images or Browse your own.
Set patterns for view from default or Browse your own pattern.
Set background colour of your choice.
12. Create additional sidebars
Although Chimp Studio theme comes with sidebars already added,
yet you can add sidebars and can manage existing ones according to your
need and choice. You can use these sidebars in posts/ pages when you
create/add a new one.
Go to Appearance > CS Theme Options > Sidebars > Manage Sidebars.
Just add the title for sidebar and click ADD SIDEBAR, its
done. Further, you can delete the existing sidebars and can Reset
all settings to default from here.
Custom Sidebars for Your Categories/Default Pages
You can manage custom sidebars for your category/ default pages from
Appearance > CS Theme Options > Default Pages. Here you can select layout of your choice for the sidebars.
13. Hide/show header elements
Header elements are very flexible in Chimp Studio theme. following customization can be done here with clicks only;

To navigate to Header Element settings, just go to Appearance > General Settings > Header Settings.
14. Migrating from another theme
If you are migration from a theme which used the native featured images functionality of WordPress. Please use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin
to resize all the thumbnails. Click the link above and download the
free plugin, and read through the steps it contains, it has all the
information you need.
15. Import export theme options
Updating the theme had been a tiring task as it used to disturbed
the theme options. Chimp Studio theme comes with option to take backup
of all theme options/ settings. Just Go to THeme Options > Backup
Options and generate backup by clicking the button of TAKE BACKUP. To
restore it, click the RESTORE BACKUP and it will auto load the backup.
Further, it allows you to take manual back up by copying the setting
given in the box. Just make a text file and keep your backup text there.
Whenever you want to restore backup, past the text in given area of “and click IMPORT THIS DATA. Its done!
16. Google Analytics Tracking Code
Copy the code given to you by Google Analytic
Go to WordPress –> CSTheme Options–> General Settings –> ?
You can add this code in Header and Footer.
For Header, go Appearance > CSTheme Options > Header Settings > Header code
For Footer, go to Appearance > CSTheme Options > Footer Settings > Analytic code
Paste your Google Analytic (or other) tracking code here. This code
will automatically be inserted into the head of your theme on every
page.
